The Wealth Professional Awards 2026 mark the 12th year of recognising excellence in Canada’s wealth management sector.
On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the country’s top advisors, firms and industry leaders will gather at Toronto’s Liberty Grand for an evening that celebrates the people shaping the future of advice.
The awards honour outstanding performance, leadership, innovation and client impact across Canada’s wealth landscape.
Categories span both individuals and organisations, from rising advisors and portfolio managers to advisory teams, CEOs, providers, wealthtech firms and employers, each with specific criteria you can review under its own category page.
Nominating yourself, your team or your firm puts your achievements on a national stage, helps strengthen your professional profile and shines a light on the work you do for clients and the community.
It’s also a way to recognise colleagues and partners who genuinely stand out in their roles.
How to nominate
Go to the awards website, review the list of categories and click into the ones that fit you or your nominee to confirm eligibility and criteria.
Select “Nominate Now” for the appropriate category, then log in or create an account for the Wealth Professional Awards 2026.
Before filling in the form, read the technical guidelines and prepare your brief reason for nomination in a separate document, keeping it to 300 words and tightly focused on the published criteria.
When you are ready, complete the online form with the nominee’s details, paste in your 300-word rationale, review everything carefully, then submit. There is no fee to nominate.
After nominations close, the WP Awards team conducts research to supplement the entries, selects and notifies Excellence Awardees, then invites them to submit more detailed information.
An independent panel of industry judges reviews those submissions against the criteria and scores them to determine the winners, who are announced live at the gala and then profiled on the event site and Wealth Professional channels.
Nominations are open from November 24, 2025 and close on February 13, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET. Excellence Awardees will be announced in March 2026.
The judging takes place in April 2026 and winners will be revealed at the Wealth Professional Awards 2026 on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at Toronto’s Liberty Grand.
